Its good and it works. So glad I never have to screw around with a dull chainsaw again, and every time Ive tried hand filing it just makes things worse.

I think they could improve the depth stop. There is too much play in it. Its just a plastic knob that you screw in or out that hits the back cover of the grinding wheel.

Depending on how much pressure you pull down with there is some play and variation in how deep you grind. Would like to see a more solid stop. Other thing is the red plastic cover...Its good and it works. So glad I never have to screw around with a dull chainsaw again, and every time Ive tried hand filing it just makes things worse.

There are screws that screw directly into the plastic cover that i think will wear out easily over time, either the screws will strip out or the plastic will get cross threaded so many times from the screws going in and out it will stop holding them.

Obviously the machine will still work without the cover if this part does fail so not a deal breaker, just a safety issue. Overall setup was easy. Watch a youtube video of how it works first.

I have never used a machine like this before and with watching a video and using the instruction book was able to take the worst chain I had (that I had tried to hand file and totally screwed it up) and made it sharper then brand new.

Cut through an 18" cherry like a hot knife through butter. (Husqvarna 445 saw). After one chain was done (took about an hour for me to figure every thing out) was able to sharpen my other 4 chains in about 15 mins each.

You could probably go faster but you have to be careful with grinding the rakers because of the depth stop issue I already described.

Excellent product. They really need to hire someone to re-write their owners manual.

Most of the manual is okay but its not listed in a manner that tells the user which caption to go to next(ambiguous at least), to know the sequence that they want you to assemble or adjust the tool.
