This tutorial is still good for the latest build 40 stable & IWBUMS. Video made on 41.19 IWBUMS. Again, this video is relevant for any future builds, unless the developers change how to upload and make map mods.

The old video still provides relevant information and may be useful to you. Please watch the older video here if you want more details or have any questions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7PCA2vFQt0

If you have any questions please try using google or checking out the forums & discord before asking me. I am not an expert so please understand that I may not be able to help with your questions.

Older Video has good info on it.

Do you know if it’s possible to manipulate the weather code?

mrneutral

The colour chart link leads to something that isn't the colour chart.

Hey blackbeard, I was wondering before getting my hand into this, would it be possible to make an underground map? like a fallout shelter/bunker/metro tunnels style map?

Casey Martinez

Mikanoko

a good and informative hot mess but one to get super easily lost in

Mikita Nikalayeu

THANK YOU for such big and precise work

Blackbeard

Dude im newb at programing but i want to make a game identical to project zomboid but the add ability to change to 3 and 1 person view. The main gameplay would still be isometric but i want these features and i know that this engine cant

Agustin Principe

Hi, i have a problem exporting the map. Say's "some tilesets are missing"

DaDiGui

Great tutorial! You could explain how to create new models of weapons/objects for build 41 and blender 2

Blackbeard

sorry guys, I lost the smallville tutorial files. I used a paid gsuite account for storage, but stopped using it and lost some files. I am actively planning on making new updated tutorials for all of my previous older tutorials. The upcoming videos will pack enough information that hopefully will be able to teach everyone how to be self sufficient in PZ modding.

Evan H

Thanks a lot for this!
It helped me a bunch :)

buckett

Hi, I’m having a wee problem, when I open the map in tiled, all tiles appear as missing texture icons, I’d imagine this is something to do with me missing a tile set, however I’m not sure how to go about fixing this. Any answers would be much appreciated.

Do you know if there is a hex code for snowy grass? When making base maps?

Peter Hlatki

Great video and info! But as far as the actual painting goes.. I understand layers and you gotta use those layers to make life easier. While creating it and future edits.

ambiguousamphibian

Nice job Blackbeard! Really glad to see this - incredibly thorough and helpful as your other stuff ^.^ Glad to see a vid from you!

Edit: Thanks much for the help especially with worldobjects.lua - I don't think that's covered in the written tuts. Really helped a lot with this!

Question: Do you know of any way to work in TileZed so that you can see the buildings you've placed in WorldEd as you're placing individual details into the world with TileZed? (Around the 36:00 mark) - Or is it necessary to switch back and forth between TIleZed and WorldEd to check your work and make sure you aren't placing objects into buildings you've placed?

Edit again: Using a second monitor seems to help this process tremendously for looking back and forth at edits!

Great video and keep up the good work! Really nice to see such high quality work!

Casey Martinez

I didn't realize you had made a new channel yet until discord! I'm so happy you're still doing these videos because I just tried the old tutorial video for map building and boy, was I greeted with a lot of errors. Gonna check this video out tomorrow and see how this go after scrapping my old project lol.

Hi! Please make a new video about weapon models and clothes models for PZ, because it`s quite old and not actual videos on ur channel. Subscribed, thank you for ur content!

Ayala

Do roads have to be straight lines?

Jack Saripo

Do I need to save the map and tools into project zombie on steam folder?

HighImBread

So I followed the tutorial, and at 29:43. When I click on the cell in WorldEd everything pops up as question marks.
